I’m sure a few of you Red5 users will be happy to know that I have added support for the previously ignored ID3 tags. You will recieve them as the following names:
From the research I did via Google, these names should be correct. Lastly, check out the screen shot for “proof”
Hi Paul
How do I try this out. I have 0.7 installed and would LOVE to get id3 in the onMetaData callback.
Thanks for the awesome work.

Just install the latest from trunk and then use an MP3 with ID3 info embedded in it. You’ll need at least version 0.7.1-dev.
Also, in my example I am using the oflaDemo which will need to be installed on your Red5. There is an installer web application built-in, just start your server and look on the index.html.
Thanks for the reply – I got both the server trunk and the debian trunk and will try to build. Im excited. Thanks!
THANK YOU PAUL.
Can’t wait to incorporate this into some applications! So this will be fired in the onMetaData callback on the NetStream? Are we also able to invoke a netStream.play(“id3: mymp3file”) to retrieve the results in an onId3Info callback as per FMS? Not that it’s too important, just wondering if it works.

Im excited. Thanks!
Cheers, Loved your post on Mp3 metadata. I’m interested in mp3 and on Monday found a similar comment in a local newspaper. Couldn’t have said it better myself!
